Moonbeach was originally set up by Phillip Dobner and Lesley Dhonau some 15 years ago and was the first British windsurf centre in Ras Sudr Egypt, Lesley and Philip created a unique and chilled out atmosphere that became renowned in the windsurfing industry, their customer service was second to none as was their instructional methods which were passed down to all instructors who worked at Moonbeach.

You may well ask what‘s so special about Moonbeach? WIND is all I can say, relentless wind, it never stops blowing which is why I guess Phil and Lez decided to set up a centre in Egypt, add to this flat water in the bay and rolling swell on the outside and you have the perfect destination, it’s not all about windsurfing though; Moonbeach and the surrounding areas are perfect for kite surfing, with Airspace lagoons and Soul kite surfing all within a 10 mile radius you can pick and choose where you want to kite.

Moonbeach has now been bought by Greg and Schlep following about 10 years of combined service. They are now planning to continue providing the same Moonbeach holiday experience that has been expected for so many years and add a few more tweaks.
