The payment process is handled by Google Checkout and we display this information in the site through a Secure Server Layer (SSL certificate). This is the safest way to pass data securely. When you view your basket and proceed to make a purchase you'll see the address change from http:// to https:// - the 'S' indicates you are now within the secure area. The familiar padlock symbol will also appear in your browser indicating it's secure.
