I’ve been using the Pro-Contest 132 x 40 for the last week and have to admit, I'm impressed. First impressions are what a stunning looking board, the 132 comes in yellow and black/carbon only but the graphics are mind bending, in fact if you stare at it long enough you start to hallucinate, I seriously suspect this board had its graphics designed by someone who is walking that fine line between MADNESS and BRILLIANCE.
The weight of this board is ridiculous, I weighed it bare, no fins or straps and it came in at 1.94 kg, that’s incredibly light for any board and I must admit the first thing that crossed my mind was how strong can a board this light be ?
Apparently very strong according to RRD, they have used the best TEXTRA Hi modulus carbon fibres on the market together with a new technical application and heavy duty core technology which all adds up to a very strong board.
Whether it’s the weight of this board or the stiffness of the carbon make-up I was amazed at how much feed back you get from the board through your feet, you really can feel how the board is reacting which I’m sure all of you free-stylers out there will appreciate. Add to this huge pop and with the usual RRD straps and fins and you have one uncompromising free-style board,
